Tips on answering even the hardest questions during Job Interviews

One of the hardest parts of job hunting is job interview. They can be very stressful and most of the time is very confusing. Job seekers usually find themselves being declined of a job because of wrong answers during job interviews. The key to successfully acing an interview is being prepared and being aware of how to answer even the toughest question an interviewer may ask.

The most common, and usually a start-up question during interview, is asking you about yourself. The interviewer would want to know more of who he or she is interviewing and is about to trust the position to. Most job seekers would find this question as their chance to talk about anything that happened to them. Well, this is a wrong perception. When answering this question, think of the highlights about you that would bring you in front of other applicants. Mention your educational background, achievements, previous job promotions, etc. But be straightforward. Don’t say the same things over. You must always make impression that the job is for you.

One tough question to answer is when the interviewer mentions that you don’t have the experience needed for the job then asks you why you deserve the position. This is definitely hard to answer. But keep in mind that not all who were hired are experienced. When faced with this question, ask the interviewer if there had been instances where they had hired an inexperienced person, but eventually did well in the job. They might remember a worker or two they hired without any experience on their industry. Then you can say to them that you can be like the person they mentioned. Also, add that you can you have a potential of being a great worker for them.

The secret to answering the job interview questions correctly is by being prepared. Make time to reflect on yourself. Write down your strong points like your achievements, the things you have done for the past years, and traits you possess that would make you an asset of a company. Once you have enumerated all your strong points, think of how you can back-up your statement by citing instances. Let say for instance, you say that you are a good salesman, and then you should also be able to answer when asked what have you done to become a good salesman. Also, try to enumerate the time when you have failed and suffice answers on what you have done to overcome it. This type of question might also be asked during interviews.

By writing down your high and low points, you get used to answering these questions. You get to choose the best answer to tell during the interview. Unlike when faced with the question unprepared, tendency is, you take long time to think or even give a wrong answer.

The most important thing to remember during job interviews, which is very obvious, is to be prepared. Know your high points, as well as low points. Also, be prepared to cite examples elaborate your statement.
